Makeup Favorites Fall 2017

Sharing some of my favorite makeup products out right now. First vlog post, be sure to check it out!!!

Hello, friends! Happy Sunday, hope you are all having a great weekend. For today’s blog post I decided to do a video post instead (attached below). This video is all about my favorite makeup right now. I have always wanted to do a vlog so I thought I’d try it out. There is a lot of background noise in this video and at one point I’m even yelling at Moose, our big brown lab, to stop scratching. But I promise these videos will get better in time, haha! Pease leave comments below or on youtube to let me know how you liked the video and if I should keep making them or stick to blog posts instead. I would love to hear your feedback. Hope you enjoy!!

Soft & Cozy Ruffle Sweater

Reviewing the softest, coziest ruffle sweater you ever did wear.

Ruffle Sweater: Forever21 (Unfortunately this sweater is only sold in stores. However I have tagged two super cute similar styles here and here)| Black Skinny Jeans: Express (These are a favorite of mine, they are so versatile, you can dress them up or down and they always look great!)

Happy hump day, woot woot! This week has been crazy busy at work and home so I am more than ready for the weekend to be here to enjoy some down time with my guys. The sweater featured in the pictures above is the softest, comfiest sweater I have ever owned! I swear it felt like I was wearing a sweatshirt all day today, which was perfect since it was rainy and gross outside. But, seriously, besides being soft and comfy, the ruffle detail is super cute and the fit is perfect. The ruffle fad this fall is sooo cute! I will definitely be living in this sweater all fall and winter! I also really loved the marbled grey and black look, will match any bottoms you pair it with. I purchased this sweater just two weeks ago at our local Forever21 store while shopping with my sister. Unfortunately, they do not have the product listed for sale online so if you are really interested you’ll have to shop in store for it (it’s totally worth it, believe me!). The price is fantastic too, less than $20! Forever21 always has some great deals. Hope you all have a fantastic rest of your week!

Novalash Eyelash Extensions

Novalash extensions are amazing. Discover why I love them so much and why you will too!

To say that I am OBSESSED with Novalash eyelash extensions would be an understatement! About 6 months ago I decided that I was going to try out the eyelash extension fad. I have always been a little insecure about my lashes and would go to great lengths to make my natural lashes look longer. Most days I would wear 2 or 3 different mascaras at one time just to feel better about my appearance. Before getting the extensions I wasn’t sure if they would be worth it, could I keep up the maintenance, are they too expensive, would they bother my eyes? These were all the questions I kept asking myself but after a few months of debating, I finally decided I needed to try! And, you guys, from the moment I first looked in the mirror and saw the extensions I fell in LOVE!!!! They were perfect, so long, full and beautiful. I was so excited and the best part is… I no longer need to wear mascara! Since getting the extensions I’ve posted a few pictures online and have had a lot of people reach out to me with questions. So, for today’s post I really wanted to share some more information about the process and maintenance of the extensions.

The process of getting your Novalash extensions is extremely simple and relaxing. You basically get to lay down on a comfy bed with your eyes closed for a few hours, could a mother dream of anything better? I think not. I always catch myself falling asleep during the process, oops! The number of lashes you get is different for every person because each Novalash is glued to each individual eyelash you have. Your beautician will use two sets of tweezers, one to separate your real eyelash from the other lashes and the other set to glue the fake lash on top of your real one. Each of your real eyelashes will have one individual fake lash glued on top of it. The glue they use is black, so you don’t worry about it being noticeable once they are finished. This is pretty much the whole process. In my personal experience, the individual placing the lashes on yours will switch between eyes after every lash. Once the process is complete, they will fan your eyes to make sure the glue is set and then you are ready to go! The whole process from start to finish will take anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours for the initial set of extensions, this all depends on how many lashes you have and how quick your beautician is (refills are much quicker).

Here is a picture taken during my last refill session.

Maintaining your lash extensions is easy. After your first initial appointment, you will be given a Novalash kit which will include a special mascara, cleaning wipes and a brushing wand. I use the brushing wand multiple times per day, it really helps to keep your lash extensions from sticking together and after they are brushed out they look much better and fuller. The only time you need to use the mascara they provide is when you start to lose a lot of lashes. The mascara helps off set the missing extensions until you can get in for your refill. I personally dislike the cleaning wipes they provide and I never use them. Every time I would use them I would lose an extension or two. They always seemed to grab them and pull them out and it really irritated me so I stopped using them and have had no problems at all. There is really never a need to wash the lashes if you are not using mascara on them. During the first week or two the lash extensions may bother you but you will get used to them quicker than you think. I never realized how ofter I rubbed my eyes until I had the extensions. So, the whole process of getting the lashes and maintaining them is super simple. If you decide to try them out, I hope that you love them as much as I do!

My first ever before and after pics, such a HUGE difference!

My most recent set of lashes… in LOVE!!!!

Happy HUMP day – half way to Friday!! I don’t know about you guys, but this week has been a rough one for me so I can not wait for the weekend to get here!!! Anyway, this past weekend Shane and I took Beckham to our local orchard to get into the fall spirit! Fall in Ohio is fantastic, there are so many fun things to do and see. We had such a blast watching Beckham experience everything the local orchard had to offer. Seriously, having kids makes everything 10x better!! We were able to feed the cutest little farm animals, picked some pumpkins and mums for our front porch and took Beckham on his first hayride. Of course, I also enjoyed the food. Have you guys ever tried a warm apple dumpling with vanilla ice cream? If not, you are seriously missing out! Probably one of my favorite desserts ever. It honestly couldn’t have been more of a perfect day. I hope you all had a great weekend too, thanks for stopping by to read the post 🙂

Top 10 Fall Favorites 2017

My top 10 fall favorites, everything from hats to shoes.

Fall Essentials

Collage Details

Women’s Quilted Jacket – I am obsessed with quilted jackets for fall. I own a navy blue one that I bought a few years ago and I wear it all the time. The one I linked is super adorable and it is at Target for only $39.99!! The maroon color is one of my favorites for the fall season however it does comes in a few different colors.

Gabriela Stud Tassel Earrings – Tassel earrings are extremely popular this fall. The ones linked here are from Baublebar and come in 13 lovely colors! I can’t wait to get my hands on a pair of these beauties.

Button-Front Denim Mini Skirt – Seriously in love with this skirt!! I bought it this past weekend at Forever21 and can not wait to wear it this fall! It is super flattering and the button up front is adorable!

Black Distressed Jean Leggings – These black distressed jeans from Express are the perfect fall essential. They can be worn with pretty much anything and as always the black color is very slimming.

Peep Toe Bootie – Peep toe booties are one of my favorite fall trends right now. They compliment so many different outfit types. This pair is from Nordstrom and I am obsessed!! I will be ordering these very soon.

Over the Knee Boot – I feel like black over the knee boots are an essential fall and winter staple to have in your closet. I own a leather pair that I wear way too much, I can’t wait to order this suede pair from DSW!

Contemporary Bell Sleeve Top – Bell and ruffle sleeves are HUGE right now! Everyone is wearing them and they are sooo cute! I bought this purple bell sleeve top from Forever21 this past weekend and it is so flattering and fun to wear.

Floppy Hat – I am obsessed with floppy hats! They make any outfit 10 times cuter. The one I tagged here is from Old Navy, I bought a similar one from there last year around this time that was a nude color and I wore it all the time. I’m sure I’ll end up buying a few more floppy hats to go along with my current collection.

Nude Buttercream Lip Gloss – I love a good nude lip gloss. The one I tagged here is from the bareMinerals line at Ulta. BareMinerals’ lip gloss line is amazing, they have the best colors and the gloss is always so shiny!

Plaid Poncho – Poncho’s are one of my favorite trends because it feels like you are always wearing a blanket and who doesn’t want to wear a blanket in the cold weather, especially Ohio! I love the black and white plaid on this one from Nordstrom.

Thanks for stopping by to check out the blog. Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!

Distressed White JeansExpress (Currently on sale for $50!!!) | Off the Shoulder Top: Express, similar style can be found here and here| Lips: Charmer by bareMinerals Moxie Plumping Lipgloss

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Last night I paired this simple off the shoulder top with the perfect pair of distressed white jeans for date night with my hubby. We were all ready to head out for dinner and shopping until our little one woke up sick from a nap. Seeing your babies hurting has to be one of the hardest things for a parent to do (insert sad face!). Our date night outfits quickly turned into sweat pants and we spent the whole night cuddling our sweet sick boy. Hopefully he starts to feel better today so we can go out and enjoy this 80 degree Ohio weather.

Thanks for stopping by to read my first post! Blogging has been a dream of mine for a long time and i’m so excited to continue sharing our life with all of you.
