Favorite Vacation Destinations

Sharing some of my favorite vacation destinations!

Traveling, one of my absolute favorite things to do. I would travel the world if I had the funds to do so. I love nothing more than exploring a new place, seeing all the beauty that this world has to offer. Usually when traveling, my family and I, like to head somewhere warm preferably some where with a big, beautiful beach. I’m a sucker for some crystal clear water and 90 degree weather. Today I wanted to share some pictures of four absolutely stunning placesI have visited in the past few years. Enjoy!

St. Croix, U.S.V.I.

When I retire, this is where you can find me. From the moment I stepped off of our honey moon cruise I fell madly in love with St. Croix. The island looks like a picture, stunning scenery every where you turn. Crystal clear water, gorgeous white sand beaches and a boardwalk that draws you right in and makes you never want to leave. My husband and I spent just one day on this island when we stopped here on a cruise but let me tell you one day was not enough. We spent the morning walking around the island, did a little shopping and then spent the afternoon on the beach. Every person that we had the opportunity to talk to was so friendly and sweet. I have been to some islands where you honestly just want to turn around and get right back on the boat because the islanders scare the crap out of you. This is not one of those places, we felt so welcome when we were here. The islanders weren’t the only reason I wanted to stay forever… the beach is what really got me. I have never seen such stunning beach in my whole life! The sand was a perfect shade of white, the water was so clear you could see fish swimming 20 feet below the surface and there was not a wave in sight. I could have built a shack on that beach and lived out the rest of my life as happy as could be. If you ever get the chance to go to St. Croix, whether it be by boat or plane, go! Do not hesitate to visit this stunning island. I personally can not wait to go back and visit again.

Sitka, Alaska

Oh, Sitka, you will always hold such a special place in my heart. Four years ago today I was visiting Sitka, Alaska with my mom and grandparents. Sitka, is a very small town located in Alaska, so small that there were only about 3 restaurants and bars and few stores to shop at. However, we did not go there for the food and shopping, we went to explore. When I heard that I had the opportunity to travel to Alaska with my family I could not pass it up, and let me tell you, this small town did not disappoint. We had such an amazing time, for a small town there were so many activities to do. On our very first day, we  decided to take a small little boat out hoping to spot some whales. Within just a few minutes of being out there we saw three gigantic hump back whales splashing around, it was the most incredible experience of my life. To be next to such a large powerful animal was surreal. If you ever get the opportunity to go whale watching please do, I can not tell you how absolutely incredible it is. During the other days on the island we did a lot of hiking, the trails are incredible in Alaska (I was a little nervous about running into some bears, but thankfully we never did!!!!). We did however get to visit the Fortress of the Bear wildlife park, we were the only ones visiting that day so they gave us a special tour and even let us feed baby black bears, it was awesome! Sitka, may be small but this gorgeous little Alaskan town had so much to offer. I will never again be able to experience the things I did while visiting Sitka with my mom and grandparents. We had such a fun time and I hope that one day I can take my husband and son back there to experience the beauty that it holds.

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

Grand Cayman is also another stop that I have visited while on a cruise in the Caribbean. I am lucky enough to have been on two cruises that stopped here, so I have spent two days exploring this island. Grand Cayman is absolutely gorgeous and there are so many fun things to do here. The first time I visited we took a boat tour out to Sting Ray City, probably one of the top 5 coolest things I have ever done in my life. Don’t get me wrong I was terrified and didn’t want to get off the boat, but once my mom forced me off (haha) I really had such an incredible time. I wish so badly I had pictures of this to show you all but i’d have to go digging through old boxes in my mom’s basement to find them and that seems like too much work since its already 10 o’clock at night. Honestly, though Sting Ray City is crazy cool, a bunch of boats drive out to a huge sandbar located right in the middle of the ocean and once they get there the wild sting rays know that the boats have food so they just flood the area. It is insane to see so many wild sting ray swimming around. Once the sting rays comes everyone hops off the boats into the water to feed and pet the sting rays, not going to lie it was so scary but so incredibly amazing at the same time. My family still talks about how awesome that vacation was. My second time on the island I was with my husband and in-laws and we decided to spend the day at the Cayman Turtle Farm. There were so many adorable sea turtles there and we even got to hold a few of the babies. The turtle farm also had a great swimming pool to enjoy as well as a lazy river type area where you could snorkel around. I can not wait to go back to Grand Cayman again so that I can experience more of this stunning island.

Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Island

I have never in my life seen as clear of water as I did when I stepped off the boat onto Grand Turk. You guys, I am not joking this place is surrounded by the calmest, clearest, bluest water I have ever seen. My mouth literally dropped when I saw how stunning this place was. Again, I did not get to visit the island long, we stopped here on a cruise and were only allowed a few hours to explore. However, if I ever get the chance to go back I will take it in a heart beat. My husband and I were with our siblings and a few friends when our cruise stopped here for the day and we all decided it would be fun to spend the day snorkeling. We signed up for a snorkeling tour, you know since the water was so clear we couldn’t resist finding the best place to jump in! Our snorkeling tour was incredible, we all had such a fun time. The tour took us out into the middle of the ocean and the tour guides jumped right out and swam down to the bottom of the ocean to pick up huge conch shells to show everyone (I even got to keep one, it is sooo beautiful!). After  getting to pass around the conch shells the tour guides took us to a tiny island right off the shores of Grand Turk and let us go out and snorkel the crystal clear waters for awhile. Then we headed back into the island where we got to hold and feed wild stingrays right on the beach. It was a very awesome experience, we all loved this tour and this island. I wish so badly that I lived in a place as gorgeous as Grand Turk.

Have you ever been to one of these places or anywhere that you loved so much you just wish you could stay there forever? Leave me a comment below and let me know of your favorite places. Thanks for reading, xoxo.

Favorite Products 2017

Sharing 7 of my favorite products from 2017, everything from head to toe.

Hello, friends! Hope everyone had a fun weekend. We spent a lot of time around the house cleaning and getting laundry done. Not very exciting but needed to get done. This weekend really flew by, can’t believe I have to head back into the office already tomorrow. For today’s post I wanted to share some of my favorite products from 2017.  These are 7 of my go-to products that I could not live without! You can click on the name of the product and it will take you directly to the link to purchase it.

Too Faced

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

This bronzer is heaven and it smells like chocolate milk which makes it even better! I started using this bronzer a few months ago after I ran out of my current bronzer from Smashbox and wanted to try something new. I am in love with it! I’m decently pale so I opted for the lighted shade but there are two shades darker than this one if you need a darker tint. It looks fantastic, smells fantastic and only costs $30. What more could a girl ask for? The link above takes to the Too Faced website, however this product is also available at Sephora and Ulta.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

I have tried a million different mascaras to see if there is one better than this one and let me tell you, there is not!! This mascara is my all time favorite makeup product. My whole family is obsessed with it. If you want long, full looking lashes than this is the mascara you have been looking for. Before getting my eyelash extensions I wore this mascara every single day, it made me feel so much better about my short lashes. When I am going out with my hubby or friends for the night I will put this mascara on my extensions to make them look even longer and more full. Too Faced sells it on the their website for $23, I have also found it in store at Sephora and Ulta. I promise you will love this product!

Arbonne Liquid Sunshine Tinted Self-Tanner

Every girl can use a good self-tanner lotion and this one is always my go to. I stopped using tanning beds a few years ago because I really wanted to keep my skin looking young. Spray tans are great for special occasions but they fade fairly quickly and you would have to keep going back almost weekly to keep up with your tan. Again, I am pretty pale, I look almost ghostly during these Ohio winters, so I wanted to find the best self-tanner. I had tried a few that I found at Ulta but nothing that I loved, that’s when a friend recommended Arbonne. As soon as I tried the lotion I was hooked. The tan lasts anywhere from 4-7 days and the color is great. Once you put it on it takes about 2 hours for the color to start showing on your skin. The tanner costs $45 on the Arbonne website linked above.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cover-Up

I seriously love this cover up! It is not very thick but it covers up minor flaws and last all day long. I wear this makeup daily. The only time I wear a different cover up is when I am going out for the night and want more coverage. If you need a product that is perfect for the every day look, than I would try this. I am honestly obsessed with it and the best part is I found it at Target for less than $10! The product comes in 5 different tints and helps reduce blemishes, its an all around win!

Wet Brush

The wet brush is the best hairbrush ever!!! I used to struggle all the time with brushing my hair, especially after getting out of the shower. Long hair is no joke, the amount of tangles I would fight to brush through was ridiculous. Once I started using the wet brush I never had to worry about tangles again. This brush is so smooth and makes brushing out messy hair so much simpler. This is the only hair brush I use. I will use it on wet and dry hair. I can not explain how great this hair brush is, I even use it on Beckham when I get him out of the bath. This product is a must try! I found mine at Target for less than $10, I’m sure most drug stores sell this brush also.

Bed Head Curlipops 1” Tourmaline Ceramic Styling Iron

You guys, this curling wand only costs $29.99 and works like a charm! This is the only product I use to curl my hair, I absolutely love the way it makes my hair look! The wand heats up very quickly and it stays hot the whole time you are using it, unlike other wands and curling irons I have used. Honestly, you won’t need much time when curling because the product is so hot it can curl a piece of hair in just a few seconds. I was really worried about trying a product that was so low cost compared to some of the other wands similar to it but I am so happy I decided to try this one out. I saved my self a ton of money and I get the same if not better results every time I use it. I purchased mine from Ulta, however I think I saw them on sale at Target too.

Amope Pedi Perfect

So, this product was a birthday gift from my grandma last year and I love it! I feel like my feet are never as pretty as I want them to be. I love getting pedicures but I can’t always make it to the salon when my feet are starting to look a little rough. This product is perfect for keeping your feet looking pretty between pedicures. I never have to worry about wearing sandals again. It works great and is super easy to handle. My feet always feel so smooth after using the pedi perfect.

I love all these products and was so excited share how they have helped my every day beauty routine become easier. If you have some really great products that you love please let me know about them in the comments below! I am always looking to try new beauty products. Hope everyone has a great week, xoxo.

New Year, New Me

My 2018 new years resolutions.

Happy New Year friends! Wow, I can not believe that it is 2018 already. Time has really flown by these past few years, probably because I am constantly busy. I don’t know about you, but for me 2017 was an extremely hard year. Besides celebrating my son’s first birthday, I felt like most of the year was a struggle. I was more than happy to leave 2017 in the past and move on to a new (and hopefully) more exciting year for me and my family. Today’s post will be a quick one discussing some of my new years resolutions. I have a good feeling about 2018, this may just be my year!!!

A brand new, fresh year just brings so much hope and joy. I feel more motivated, excited, happy, and a willingness to get my life in order. My motto for 2018 is new year, new me. I have set a few personal resolutions I would like to accomplish during the year. The first thing I plan to do is work more on Casa Blanca. I was so ecstatic when I started writing this blog and then, well, life just got in the way and I put it on hold. One of my major goals for this year is to get it going again and this post is step number one. If you are a consistent follower (which I hope you are!), then you will be happy to know I plan on posting new content every Wednesday and Sunday, so keep your eyes peeled! I am so excited to have my own blog site and share my favorite things with all of you 🙂

A second resolution I set for 2018 is to get in shape. Boyyyyyy do I need some help this department. I know this will be hard for me to do, i’m pretty sure there is no one on earth worse at keeping a consistent work out schedule than me. I will start and stop over and over again, which makes me feel like I’m accomplishing nothing. In order to accomplish this goal I have downloaded the Bikini Body Guide App on my phone, the app is called Sweat if you are interested in downloading it as well. I have heard a ton of great things about BBG and I can not wait to get started. Rachel Parcell, one of my all time favorite bloggers, recently posted a before and after picture of her progress with the BBG program and she looks incredible. Rachel’s blog posts about the program have given me a lot of motivation to get started. The plan is to start on the program this weekend. Here’s to hoping that I can actually stick to a workout routine, wish me luck guys I need it! LOL

The third and final resolution I have set for 2018 is to become more financially stable by investing. My husband and I recently started looking to purchase our first rental property, woohoo! Also, we have an offer in on a house right now to purchase and flip. Hopefully, we get it so I can feel like Joanna Gaines flipping my first house. Flipping houses has been a dream of mine since I started watching HGTV at least 10+ years ago. Who else is in love with Chip and Joanna, like seriously, they are the cutest!! Anyway, I feel like we are at a place in our lives where we are able to start investing and do more than just work our day jobs for income. This is a process I would also love to share with my blog readers once we can get it started. I know investing is scary for a lot of people (us included), which is why I will be sharing our stories on how we got started and what works for us and what doesn’t. I am sure mistakes will be made along the way, but I am a true believer that you have to spend money to make money. If you have invested in real estate I would love to hear your stories!

Well, that wraps up my new years resolutions. I would love to hear what all of you have planned for this new year as well. I know its only day 3 of 365 but have a feeling that great things will happen in 2018. I’m going to end this post with a quote I recently heard on the movie Boss Baby (yes the kids movie – my son is obsessed) that really resonates with me, “aim from failure and you’ll always succeed”. Hope everyone has a blessed year! xoxo

Healthy Crockpot Chicken Fajitas

The perfect healthy crockpot recipe that the whole family will love!

(Please don’t mind my kitchen, it is the last room in our house we need to remodel.)FullSizeRender-32

I am so excited to share this recipe with all of you because it is healthy and delicious. Also, anything that can be made in a crockpot is a full-time working moms dream or any mom at that. I have been on a health kick lately… and by health kick I mean I have worked out three times in the last two weeks and have attempted to eat healthier meals while still snacking on oreos and icecream before bed. We can’t all be perfect, right? So, in my attempt at eating healthier I decided to try some new crockpot meals that my whole family could eat. Having a picky one year old makes finding recipes a little difficult. I came across a recipe similar to the one I am going to share on pinterest and changes it up a little bit to fit my taste and boy is it DELICIOUS! I made it last week for the first time and this past weekend my husband asked if we could have it for dinner again this week, I call that a win!! Hope you all enjoy 🙂

  • 3 chicken breasts (fresh not frozen)
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 white onion
  • 3 peppers
  • 1 packet chicken taco seasoning (or fajita seasoning)

First step is to cut up all three peppers and the onion into slices. Once that is complete you can assemble your crockpot. On the bottom of your crockpot spread half of the can of tomatoes and place half of the onion and peppers over the tomatoes. Next, take each chicken breast and cover both sides with the chicken taco seasoning and place the chicken breasts in the crockpot. After that, spread the remaining can of tomatoes on the chicken breasts and then toss in the rest of your onion and peppers. Place the lid on the crockpot and cook on low for approximately 6-8 hours or until the chicken breast are fully cooked. That is all there is to this recipe. We ate our fajitas on wraps with a little bit of lettuce, shredded cheese and salsa. Extremely easy, healthy and delicious! You will not be disappointed with this meal.

I love this cutting board in the shape of Ohio, can be found at here.FullSizeRender-28

Beckham’s Wild One First Birthday

Our sweet boy turned 1 in August and we threw one WILD party.

Birthday Cake & Smash Cake: Sweet Temptations LLC (OMG, you guys, this cake was so moist and delicious!!! The whole entire cake was gone before the party ended. I was a little sad I didn’t get to keep some leftovers for myself, haha!) | Cookies: Nomi’s Cookies (These cookies were unbelievably cute! When I ordered the cookies all I did was tell her the theme and colors I was doing and let her work her magic and boy was I so happy with the end result! And holy cow these things were delicious! They went super fast too!) | Decorations: All of the banners, cake topper and cupcake toppers were found on Etsy, the tent and silver balloons were found on Amazon, and the “Wild One” themed decorations were ordered from Hobby Lobby.

Today our little Beckham turned 14 months old! How does time go sooo fast when you have kids? Ugh, it makes me so sad to think that he won’t be my cuddly little baby forever! (Cue the tears!!) We took him trick or treating tonight in our neighborhood and had such a fun time seeing him in his little police costume. He did great, even in this freezing cold Ohio weather. We might even take him back out on Tuesday night for trick or treating at his grandparents house. Hopefully, it gets a little warmer by then. Ohio went from summer to winter, skipping fall altogether. No surprises there though, ha.

Since, our sweet boy turned 14 months old today I thought it would be fun to share pictures from his big “Wild One” themed first birthday party. The party was a blast and the decorations turned out so cute!! I love throwing parties, I tend to go way overboard though with decorations and planning. I seriously planned his birthday for 6+ months, lol. He loved every second of it and we had so many friends and family come over to share his big day, so it was all worth it in the end. If you live in northern Ohio you should definitely check out the cake and cookie businesses I tagged above. The cake and cookies were phenomenal, like seriously, mouthwatering good! Everyone at the party was asking where they could order these desserts from. Beckham obviously loved his smash cake too as you can see in the pictures. Poor boy has a sweet tooth just like his momma. If you are looking for an easy and delicious food option for your birthday parties, go for a taco bar. Our taco bar turned out so great, it was not very expensive to do and everyone seemed to enjoy it, adults and kiddos! I had a lot of fun shopping for this party and I ended up ordering almost everything online. If you are curious where I purchased a specific item from please feel free to email me and I will let you know. I mostly ordered from Etsy, Amazon and Hobby Lobby but I did purchase a few things from other stores as well.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I know I am so not ready to head back to work tomorrow. I am excited to share Wednesday’s post with you. It will be all about my first collaboration, woohoo! See you then, xoxo.

Why I started Casa Blanca

Blogging has always been a dream of mine, very excited to have started Casa Blanca and to share my life with all of you!

Hello, friends! Happy Wednesday! Today’s post is all about why I started the Casa Blanca blog. For the past few years blogging has been a dream of mine. About three years ago I started following the Gal Meets Glam blog and fell in love with the whole idea of blogging. It is such a fun way to show your love for fashion, beauty, travel, family and so much more. You get to share all your favorite things, it’s all about you and your life. So, finally a little over a month ago I decided to follow my dream of stating a blog and that is how Casa Blanca came to be.

Since becoming a mommy 14 months ago, I have felt like I lost touch of who I was and what I wanted. Every second of every day was spent worrying about being the best wife and mom that I could be and I felt like I kind of lost myself in the mix. Don’t get me wrong, being a mom is my favorite thing on this planet, I was meant to be a mommy!! I am infatuated with my little Beckham he makes me the happiest person ever! However, I still felt a little lost and wanted to have my own fun outlet to enjoy. It has been a great first month of blogging. I have learned so much but I know I have a far way to go if I want Casa Blanca to continue to grow. I’m excited to keep working on it and sharing our life with all of you!

I hope you have enjoyed reading my posts this month. We have a few fun family vacations planned, NYC in November and Maui, Hawaii in February, that I can’t wait to share on the blog! As always, thanks for following along! Xoxo

Classy Swing Dress

You can’t go wrong with a classy swing dress paired with the perfect blouse. A black and white combo that will never go out of style.

Swing Dress: Unavailable, similar style here (I love a good swing dress and this one is currently on sale for less than $22!) | Portofino Shirt: Express (So classy and cute, I love these shirts for work.) | Heels: JCPenny ( Simple, comfy, and cute, can’t go wrong there!) |Bracelets: Alex and Ani (I am obsessed with the Alex and Ani bracelets, I wear them almost every single day. They go with everything and are so much fun!!)

Wow, this post is coming at you guys late in the day! Sorry, ya’ll it has been a busy Sunday fun day with the family. My husband let me sleep in this morning (thank goodness because I was exhausted), then we went out for lunch and for a nice long walk at one of the prettiest nature trails in our home town. It has been a really great day enjoying this gorgeous weather. Ohio is still so warm, which is extremely unusual for October, so we have been spending as much time outside enjoying the heat as we can because we know it will be gone too soon.

The swing dress and shirt combo I am wearing above is super cute and flattering! I love finding new ways to layer my wardrobe and when I paired these two pieces together I was in LOVE! You can not go wrong with a classy black and white look. Swing dresses are seriously the best, so flattering and soft. Also, the Alex and Ani website I tagged is sooooo addicting. If you haven’t already purchased some of their bracelets then you need to check them out! Seriously, I wear a different combination of mine almost every single day. Hope you all had such a great weekend! Next post will be up on Wednesday.

Fall Mini Skirts & Sweaters

Mini skirts and sweaters all fall! You do not want to miss out on this fun trend, so many cute skirt options to chose from.

This picture cracks me up, mom life at it’s finest! FullSizeRender-12

Mini Skirt: Forever21 (current unavailable online but i’ve tagged two similar styles here and here. Also, here, here and here are a few that I just love!) Tan Sweater: Forever21 (and you guessed it, unavailable online as well, which really stinks because it costs less than $8!!! If you can make a trip to the store you should definitely buy one, so soft and cute. Similar sweaters can be found here and here.) Tan Booties: Similar booties can be found here and here.

You guys, Beckham has been sleeping through the night now for a few weeks and let me just tell you it is LIFE CHANGING! It took 13 months for our little cutie to stop waking up throughout the night and I am feeling like a brand new woman now that I get sleep again. I mean he still sleeps in our bed, so its not the perfect situation, but he is sleeping so that counts for something! Anyway, today’s post is all about mini skirts and sweaters, such a cute fall look! I have been really digging the mini skirt trend, especially jean skirts. The outfit I am wearing above I purchased in store at Forever21 and of course I can not find the exact pieces online, ugh so frustrating. Anyway, I tagged similar skirts and sweaters above and then added a few of my other favorites as well. I honestly love that store, so chic and such great prices you really can’t beat it. Hope you are all having a fantastic hump day, the weekend is almost here!
